Our Merz b. Schwanen x Gardenheir Heavyweight Tee is knit in Germany on rare original Mid-Century jersey machines. Made from 100% organic cotton in their signature 6.8 oz sturdy jersey, the shirt is substantial without feeling too stiff, and keeps its shape through repeated wear.

The construction is classic Merz: a ribbed collar, clean side seams, and their distinctive underarm gussets, all thoughtful details that make the difference in how a tee wears day to day.

This style takes cues from the brand’s iconic 215 tee—famously worn by Carmy in The Bear. For the show, the wardrobe team tailored the hem to sit right at the belt line. Our version carries that same cropped length, giving the tee a shorter modern proportion.

Size & Fit

This T-shirt is not pre-washed, so you can expect approximately 3% shrinkage in length (about 2–3 cm) after the first wash. This shrinkage has already been considered during production, and extra length is included in the cut. As a result, the shirt may appear slightly long on first wear, but will settle into the intended fit after washing. The Merz classic fit runs slightly smaller than standard American sizing so we recommend sizing up.
